1st the show takes me back to late 50s with cigarette ads and adds for other shows. I was 7 years old an very impressionable. dean fredricks was my superman and b52 bombers with sac markings and f102 delta daggers were the first plastic models I ever built. the show is more about rescues and unclassified air force real missions. steve is a b52 commander and a leutinant cournal base c o who rarely laughs or smiles and all business. kids today would say its boring but it they see the bikini test episode first they would watch. the quality of the black and white video and sound is better than it look on tv .the format allows you to play all or one episode and the double post case keeps the dvds safe. the 3 episodes I remembered for 57 years were on there.
Very enjoyable TV series DVD set. These originally aired just before I was born, but over a 30-year Air Force career, I was able to see many of the locations depicted in the episodes. A nice demonstration of mid-century American air power.
Not only is there great aircraft footage of 1950's aircraft but we also get the commercials that played with the show. I also like the commentary tracks.
