The best strings for an acoustic/electric bass on the market. (Period). long lasting, excellent response, warm sound or punch - you can dial it all in on these strings. I have used these strings for years, since they were first introduced, and I have used my bass in almost every type of musical setting.

I have 3 basses whith this strings, 2 acoustic basses and one smi-holow body whith tradicional acoustic piezo bridge. Tradicional fosfo-bronze strings have high tension and many undesirable harmonics buzz sounds. This strings have balenced sounds like acoustic wood and very low tension (have to adjust truss rod). All my basses are fretless and this strigs give hot tone whith good mediun and high frequency and the lows are very organic. Very good. (Only for piezo pickups).

I have always been a fan of Thomastic strings because they are easier on the neck tension wise than other brands and they do last slightly longer than other strings! However they are very expensive by comparison to other string brands which is there only downfall. Thomastic strings are a good quality product!
