Just one little piece is worth the whole thing!
I am now replacing an old Dia-Compe 610 front brake on a 1983 bike with a new (reproduction) DC 610-N front brake, but the new brake does not include the special washer needed for its mounting bolt to fit onto the backside of the (rounded/radiused) fork crown. This bolt assembly does not work on the new brake but it does include the special washer needed, so I bought it just for that, good enough!

I broke my original one when I was trying too hard to put the front fender on. I was in despair, and I found this part available on eBay. It was not "better than expected" but it was indeed a life saver. It was not exactly the same length as the original one on my bike, but it works and holds everything together.
