Esbit Brass Lightweight Construction Alcohol Burner Survival Stove Gear Brass construction with screw top lid and rubber gasket. Flame regulator with fold-away handle to extinguish flame. Variable temperature control. A lightweight alternative to a liquid gas or canister stove. Works with denatured alcohol only. Denatured alcohol is easy to find and cheaper to use than alternatives. Alcohol stoves are the stove of choice for ultralight and long-distance backpackers. There are no moving parts or burners to wear out or break. Just fill it and light it. It can be used alone providing you have some sort of pot support with you. Some ultralighters use tent stakes to support the pots to save weight. Weight: 3.25 oz. Hang packaged.

    Esbit Alcohol Stove

Extremely lightweight and easy to use. I use this stove with my Self Reliance Outfitters (Dave Canterbury) canteen cook set and it works great. The seal / O-ring on the lid is large and hardy so I know it will handle years of abuse. Worth every penny!

    Benefits not worth the weight.

Pros: Quality. Dual purpose with it's ability to store unburned fuel. Cons: 2.4oz heavier than a DIY soda can stove. An additional pot/mug stand is a must, adding more to it's base weight. I do appreciate the quality and durability, but for me, it's not worth the added weight compared to other options. It is a great burner. Just a personal choice.

  • i have made several stoves of this type an never had good luck with them. this one is a great value an i am truly happy with it

the boil time is excellent on a cup of water for coffee an hot water for the morning oatmeal an is also great for heating up already made meals on the trail an you can burn just about any thing in it it is a little heavier then the aluminum one you make but much more sturdy

  • Burn, Baby, Burn!

This product worked as advertised. In Durango, Colorado at an elevation around 7,000 feet above sea level, it took only five minutes to bring one liter of water to a boil. Made for a nice coffee pour.

  • Esbit

Works great. Also have a trangia that had leaked from day one. Im sure both could have bad ones. But i do like the snuffer regulator lid on the esbit better.

  • This is the one!

I've used several of the survival stoves and by and far like these alcohol fueled stoves the best. The included "simmer ring/extinguisher," greatly enhance the use of the stove! I keep one of these in every emergency preparedness bag/kit that I build!
