2 keys that came with the car, both of them finally died after 7 years of use. Faced with the prospect of having to replace the whole item, twice, and expensive, found these little treasures on eBay. A little tricky at first removing the faulty items and positioning the replacement, but with a little persistence and some pressure, key remote back in action and working well, I’m pleased I bought another backup set for replacing after another 7 years.

The rubber pad is exactly the same size as the original. However it is a little fiddly to install. It is important to remove all remnants of the old pad as it has deteriorated and gone hard. Once the old pad is removed the new pad has to be fitted in such a way to ensure that the bottom return flap is correctly mounted on the fob case. It takes a little time and patience but the end result is worth the effort. A small screwdriver really assists in the fitting of the rubber pad. At the end of the day it is a lot cheaper than paying someone for the repairs or at worse, replacing the whole key.

I bought this to try and fix my i30 key fob which had worn so much that one of the buttons had broken off completely and I couldn’t use it anymore. This product works really well, it fits perfectly and I now have a functional key fob and didn’t cost a fortunate. One word of warning: it is a bit fiddly to install, you need to cut out the old worn rubber cover and make sure to clean all the bits of old rubber out before inserting the new cover. If you’re not handy this might be hard to do, but I didn’t have any issues. Attached is a pic of my final result for reference.

Exactly what I needed to repair both of our Hyundai Elantra sets of keys that had deteriorated buttons. Just cleaned out the muck in the crevices with a knife and then the new buttons fit perfectly and have stayed connected. Thank you so much - key cutters were going to replace the whole thing for $120!!!! each.

The product met our needs and for small cost fixed the key problem. Would have cost heaps to get it done by a car dealer.

Had two Hyundai I30cw key fobs which both had the rubber fall apart. A little fiddly to get on, but well worth it. Fobs look good as new and saved $70+ in the process.
