  • Great Linux system.

Great Linux laptop! I tried MX-18 Linux but it wouldn't boot. So I went with Linux Lite and while the install process took well over an hour it works. Remember this budget machine has only 2gb ram and a 32gb drive. Web browsing with a few tabs open uses around 600mg ram and low CPU use. Battery life with this laptop is excellent. I get well over six hours of moderate use. I strongly suggest Linux because with just a few Windows updates you're going to run out of storage space. The Windows 10 install it came with only had 10 gb of free space. Some users found the mouse pad doesn't work. Go into the bios (F2) and make sure the mouse pad is using basic and not advanced. Linux Lite had 19gb of space which included SWAP. Pros: Great battery life, speed and solid internet speed. Fair build quality. Around 4 pounds so not too heavy. Cons. The screen is fair. Not IPS. Only two USB ports. The SD card reader makes the card stick out some. Be careful. Same with the power cord and connector. While Manjaro Linux also booted I went with Linux Lite. Others have had luck with Linux Mint, Ubuntu Mate and other Debian distros. This is a good buy if under $100.00.
