You don't know what your missing.....especially when you don't need keys. I walk out of the house and leave them behind. I have 3 of these......one on the back door, walkout basement and the garage. All 3 have the same code. The only keys are for the front door....they remain in the drawer! Here's the real benefit....I just built the home and the Sub's loved it...I did not have to be there, make duplicate keys or send my wife to the house to unlock.....never waited on each other! Just gave them the code and have now deleted it as we are in the house using a new code. Quality is GREAT! I had the opportunity to grab all 3 at a price of under $100 each. 2021-Almost 5 years later! Still working fine and replaced batteries once.

For quite a while I'd been looking to change out the old-school door knob on my front door, and while I love the convenience of the electronic lock on the door of my parent's vacation home, I never wanted to pony up the cash to get that level of special. Well, after a number of years on the market, these things have really come down in price. I wasn't looking for one of those fancy new biometric locks, just a key-code operated electronic one. I did some research about the different kinds, and this one intrigued me. The finish and style of the handle/back plate are very good looking, in my opinion, and the solid feel of the handles exude quality. Beyond that, this is an entirely keyless knob. Most of these have a key back-up in the case that the battery in the inside backplate should ever fail, but this one has something called a "battery jump". If the door is locked and you should ever encounter a dead battery upon trying to enter, you can press a 9V battery against two posts on the face of the backplate while entering the 4-digit unlock code and the lock will be powered long enough to allow entrance. Once inside, pop the battery cover off and replace the dead battery and you're good to go! No need to hide a key outside your house, and if you decide to hide a spare 9V outside your house, it still won't grant access to anyone who should stumble upon it, since they'll still need your entry code. I'm pretty handy when it comes to home projects, but I've never installed a door knob before and despite that the installation of this knob was a breeze. With a few glances at the included instructions, I had the old knob off and the new one on in about 15 minutes. Another 5 minutes and I had my unique unlock code programmed into the lock. Make sure not to lose your manual however, because it has a sticker on it that is unique to the lock that you purchase. Lose that and you're probably in for a headache. All-in-all, an A+ for this product!Read full review

I was pleasantly surprised with the overall quality and 'feel' of this lock. Installation was easy. Fitment was great. I love the contemporary look. Programming couldn't have been easier. Am going to order another for my back door.

Item was missing a pretty integral piece for the lock to function appropriately. There was a interior knob that is supposed to be on the lock to either keep it unlocked or have it locked 5 seconds after opening. Well...this knob was missing. Everything else is solid. I can probably figure out how to get another piece to replace but it is not functioning as designed.
