Shine it up!
I collect vintage watches and many of the vendors on Ebay, where I acquire some, don't even bother to clean or polish what they put up for auction. They must be awfully busy to not take the time to make thier wares look more attractive...So, once I decide to make a purchas because I conclude that the watch has promise under all the shmutz and tarnish...I polish them myself.
