The site woujld not let me rate the three questions-- but simply, if it were not of the very heavy bell of most scopes that would be put on this it would be a good choice. That is where the IF comes into play. If you have a short "tactical" scope with no front bell based on a 30mm tube and if you need it shoved forward, then this is a great design. Take away either "if" and the usefulness goes down. Take away both "if" questions and it makes no sense at all. I found a half dozen "tactical" scopes that would benefit from it, and maybe a hundred scopes that would not. Look at your scope, see if it needs to have the center of the scope offset forward ruther than your M1913 rail extends-- and if so, this is a very, very good choice. If not, it makes no sense. Look at your and then need decide if you need to move the center of the scope forward at the cost of shortening the two point stabilization of the optic. It could be a blessing.
