Missing parts
Kit did not have all parts that were indicated as being in the package, including a tiny spring and a tool to assist in assembly. Also, a snap ring was heavier gauge than original and couldn't be used. I had to use the old spring and snap ring to fix the problem. I also had to fashion a tool, (the missing one) to complete the assembly. Kit packaging showed as being a Crafstman product but I doubt it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ratchet repair kit
All new internal parts, look well made. Turned an old US made ratchet that i bought back in the 80s into a brand new, but old quality ratchet. Now only time will tell if these new parts hold up like the originals. As of now, I would buy again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent repair parts.

Fixed my problems
This repaired the problems i was having with my rachet. Plus i lost the ball that was in the mechanism when trying to fix the original parts so I just got the repair kit. I say it's not a good value only because I could have bought a complete new rachet for only $5 dollars more. Another thing. Craftsman USA 43434 Ratchet Repair Kit
Much better quality than the Asian made version 43434 kit. Unfortunately these USA made kits aren't made anymore, haven't been for a long time now, so snach them up while you can. The non quick release counterpart kit that Allen made is kit #11907, it can also be used in most ratchets (including Craftsman) instead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ratchet wrench repair
My ratchet repair was a bit more involved as it was using the components for a Craftsman 43434 to rebuild an old 3/8's Matco wrench. The components suggested that both Craftsman and Matco were made by the same manufacturer at that time. The glitch was that Craftsman used a push button release for the socket, Matco did not so I had to bore a hole in the head with a small diamond hole saw. The conversion also required me to grind a step off the socket 'gear'. All very doable, but done as a favor for a friend. All parts of kit are made of quality steel, and well machined. A simple fix if using the appropriate Craftsman wrench.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not the same specs as original 44811 for metal spacer -cover
