Wonderful Collection of Down-Home Southern Recipes
This cookbook is the real deal. It contains authentic down-home recipes as well as some entertaining stories, mainly about June Carter Cash's family. It is well organized and the instructions are easy to follow. The forward was written by Johnny Cash. I think June worked hard to put this together. I enjoyed just perusing this wonderful cookbook while drinking my hot chocolate. There are quite a number of recipes I'd like to try, but I did make the Chocolate Chess Pie for Thanksgiving and my family loved it. I don't normally care much for chocolate, but I LOVED this! It was fantastic!
