STILL AMAZING IN 2019!
This camera has been out for over 6 years, and I was still excited to finally acquire one. After using an M8 for years, this camera was a huge step up. I love the extra resolution (over double-10mp vs 24mp) I love the live view mode and the separately sold electronic viewfinder (EVF 2). The video this camera puts out isn’t the best compared to today’s 4K Sony A7 series footage, but it’s still beautiful with Leica lenses, and usable in a pinch if the final video is something that will be viewed on a small screen like a phone/Instagram. It doesn’t have WiFi, but I use a WiFi sd card and can transfer files to my phone on the fly like with modern cameras. I love this camera, it has a nice weight to it, it physically attracts people’s curiosity with its beauty, and most importantly it makes beautiful images.

Beautiful Camera that lives up to it's reputation
The Leica M240 isn't a camera that you get for the latest technology or for ease of use. It's a camera you get for the experience. I've wanted a digital Leica ever since my first photography class where I made it a point of pride to use my great grandfather's 1936 Leica IIIa that I found at my grandparent's house in a closet (had not been used in 50 years). It was beautiful and took 3 weeks to get back into perfect shooting condition again but it is still one of the most beautiful camera's I've ever had the pleasure to work with and made me fall in love with photography. I've owned many camera's since from Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Olympus and lately Sony but no matter what I got this was still the camera I dreamed about and it does not disappoint. My Sony's are faster and sharper but they do not come close to the experience of shooting with this camera. Simple with great image quality
The M240 is the perfect camera to use with Leica lenses. It is simple to use and now that the M10 has arrived it is a great deal. Why buy an M10 that will lose half it's value in a couple of years.
