Go on the defense against dust bunnies with the Neato XV-12 robotic vacuum. The XV-12 is an upgrade from the XV-11 model, although both the XV-11 and 12 are adept at picking up debris. The newer version includes extremely strong suction and a beater brush that work together to stir up the dirt then suck it up. The Neato sucks up dirt, debris, and pet hair without pushing it around the room or leaving small piles of hair in the corners. At only four inches high, this robot vacuum cleaner can get in all of the hard to reach places, including underneath beds, sofas, and coffee tables. It reaches where traditional vacuums can’t go, removing allergens and dust that accumulate. The Neato works by using laser guidance to map the layout of a room, scans the room five times every second, noting any changes in the layout, and then begins cleaning the room. Any features taller than four inches will activate the XV-12’s scanner and instruct the vacuum to go around the object. This helps keep it from running into furniture, tables, dog bowls, and kids’ toys. Floor surface changes don’t phase the Neato. This robotic vacuum can move from carpet to tile to wood floors without any problems or glitches in the cleaning process. This little robot cleans floors in a back and forth pattern rather than a circular pattern. This helps the vacuum maintain a consistent cleaning pattern and prevents it from getting stuck in corners. If you worry about the vacuum going in places it shouldn’t, you can use magnetic strips that will deflect the robot from entering the area or cleaning around certain objects. The Neato uses a standard filter, or you can opt for the high performance filter that is specially designed to pick up dog and cat hair from carpet and solid flooring surfaces. The Neato runs on rechargeable batteries, so you never have to worry about replacing batteries each week. The robotic vacuum is smart enough to detect when the battery juice is low. It will return to the battery charging station automatically and wait until battery power is full before continuing to clean. You will never come home after a long day to an unfinished vacuum job. The robotics of the Neato XV-12 allow you to schedule daily or weekly cleanings. Simply program the robot to clean at a certain time or on a certain day and it will automatically clean the floor. When you need spur of the moment cleaning, a quick push of the button will have the robot moving around the room sucking up dirt. The bagless dust chamber holds a large quantity of dirt, so the vacuum can clean a large surface area before needing to be cleaned out. Performing weekly maintenance on the Neato will prevent the filters from clogging with dust, keep the sensors clear of dust, and ensure that the dust chamber doesn’t have a build up of debris. Neato xv-14 robot vacuum,,,
I couldn't be more happy with this vacuum! You wouldn't believe the dirt it pulls out of your carpets and hardwoods too! I researched before I received it and everyone says to do a good vacuuming before running the robot for the first time, and then you will see and be amazed at how much dirt this little robot will still find! As long as you do the weekly maintenance it will perform really well. Such as making sure there is no hair up in the gear where the belt is, thats very important to keep it cleaned out. Empty the dirt cup after each use. And keep the ir eye dust free and the bottom sensors. It will let you know if it gets stuck under something and also if it found a sock or other large debris. Be careful

Great Little BotVac, Terrible software version
I recieved it with a bug that has to be fix; basically remove battery, discharge capacitors, return battery, plug in usb and have it reset itself. If i'm lucky the bot will not loop into an empty LCD where the process has to start over. NEATO, the company, used to have an update to fix it, but they shut that down pretty quickly when they realized people were hacking their bot using said update module. Pretty bad if you ask me.
