Using a chain cutter made the sizing of the side bars easy. Assembly was assisted by a rubber mallet. Inserting into the cabinet drawer took just a bit of light inward bending to navigate the frame of the cabinet. The hanging files hand straight and are easy to move back and forth. Good value for the do it yourselfer!
The metal frame and plastic connecting parts are strong and work fine for me. I would recommend these to a purchaser who has some mechanical skill. There was no instruction manual included, so I made sure to carefully measure and lay-out the parts so they would be assembled correctly (If assembled incorrectly, the frame will not be the proper width for hanging folders). The flat folder-suspension-bars were not well finished at the ends. I used a bench grinder to chamfer the ends so they would slip into the plastic connectors without damage.
