The Olympus VR-370 is equipped with a 12.5x optical zoom lens, which functions like a 24-300mm lens in a 35mm format. The lens eliminates the need for several different lenses, offering a range of focal lengths from wide angle to super macro for close ups, to a zoom lens to super telephoto, which allows you to capture all types of images in virtually every situation. The camera works equally well for interiors and landscapes, group shots and head shot portraits. This digital camera features built in flash, auto focus, dual image stabilization, sensor shift image stabilization, and high ISO sensitivity. The camera is equipped with AF illuminator to increase lighting in low light situations, and Auto Focus tracking for stability with moving subjects. Scene selection options automatically adjust the settings in the camera for portrait, landscape, night, self-portrait, sunset, candle light, beach, snow, sport, cuisine, documents, pet, and fireworks. Face detection allows for exceptional portrait quality, and there are magic art filters to add effects, such as watercolor effects, fish eye, and soft focus. Beauty mode enables you to enhance your portraits to soften shadows, smooth wrinkles, add eye shadow or whiten teeth. The camera is equipped with 720p high definition video for shooting high quality video from your camera. There is a one touch button to go from photo mode to video mode. Filters are also available in video mode. The 3.0” Light Crystal Display screen with 460k dot resolution features anti-glare technology, so it is easy to view even in bright sunlight. The image playback feature allows you to check the quality of your photos and resize, crop, fix red eye, and adjust shadows right in the camera. The Olympus VR-370 offers several playback options, including single, enlargement, index view, and slide show. In video mode, the playback options include still, frame by frame, rewind, fast forward and video playback. The VR 370 Olympus runs on a rechargeable lithium battery, which has the capacity to store up to 4.6 watt hours of energy, so you can take plenty of photos before it needs to be charged. Best digital camera I have ever used.
I had to replace my previous Olympus because I was stupid and dropped it on the concrete. I knew that I had to replace it with the same camera because it is very good for picture taking and with the zoom lens and a program to zoom even more details are very easy to show.
