DC Collectibles Essentials Swamp Thing
I wasn't quite prepared for how large this figure is. It's right at 9" tall and pretty heavy. The paint is applied perfectly, so no slop anywhere. The joints were all tight. The sculpt is great but I would like to have seen ears, making the head sculpt more akin to the Bernie Wrightson design of the character. But that's just personal taste. My one complaint would be lack of an ab crunch/waist swivel joint but it does give the figure nice, clean lines on the torso. This is a simplified version of the big green guy. A lot of details have been omitted in the interest of simplicity of design. Doesn't look much like the Wrightson version, but I think it's perfect for a Swamp Thing beginner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

DC Comics Essentials Swamp Thing
Standing at nine inches tall, Swamp Thing is quite literally head and shoulders above the rest of my DC Collectibles figures, including my John Constantine (Matt Ryan) figure. This is one impressive hunk of well sculpted plastic, to be sure. The green paint and dark wash details are nicely done, and his red eyes seem to look right through you! Even the fingernails and toenails are well painted, and the little pink flower on the back of his right leg is a nice detail. I would like it to have a few more vines on the body, but that's a minor nitpick. He's very sturdy and aside from the lack of an ab crunch/waist swivel joint, has a decent amount of articulation, with nice tight joints.
