Much better than standard fiberglass muffler packing.
Much better than the thin stranded, fiberglass packing that I removed from my mufflers. This ceramic composition packing is dense and easy to work with. It cuts easily and wraps nice and tight around the muffler core. I used stainless steel zip ties to hold the wrap in place. The material can be crushed which permanently affects it. Like you can't un-crush it or have it return to it's normal state after touching it. It's very sensitive to touch and pressure. That said, it seems to work well. The first time it all blew out the back of my can with the silencer dingledoo, so I just had enough to wrap it another time with one layer, and this time it seems good without the dingledoo in there.
