High quality, American made, and safety certified!
Simple and well made EVSE. Much better to spend a little more for an American made product that is UL ETL certified than a cheaper product that does not have those certifications. This provides 15-16 amps continuously which is all the max amount of power my Chevy Volt accepts. That's about 11 miles an hour of charge. If you have a Volt and plan on keeping it for a long time then the LCS-20 is all you need. It is also great if you have a 100 amp service panel because it will likely not max out the panel. This is a simple charger with no WiFi or a timer, and generally those things are not needed. I installed it outdoors and now fully charge in about 4 hours instead of 11+ like before on 8 amps and 120v.
However, for a full electric car then I would step up to the HCS-40 which provides 32 amps. Anything more is overkill seeing how we all charge up overnight.
