Fit my old Nilsson Maxwell Winch
I purchased a 29' Formula PC Cruiser new in 1989. Recently the winch motor shorted out internally and was unrepairable. After much research I found this one. It bolted right up and runs perfectly. My old windless was a Nilsson - Maxwell. This company broke up and motor parts are impossible to find, however this maxwell motor fits and works fine with the following differences: The old motor had two mounting studs with nuts which had to be replaced with bolts (I believe 1" x M8) This motor is slightly shorter and has a larger diameter then the original. The larger diameter required some minor trimming of the plastic bulkhead to fit everything back together satisfactorily. Bottom line, I was able to reuse the windless gear box, saving over a thousand dollars, and the anchor winch now runs as new. The motor runs strong and is bi-directional as intended. I was completely satisfied. I would recommend this motor to anyone in a similar situation. Jim Duffy
