Actually I was looking to replace my old and battered paperback by Mr Beard called 'The James Beard Cookbook'.
This cookbook has fewer recipies than the other, and expects you to know how to cook 'fancy' already!
Nothing wrong with it, my mistake in buying it.
On the other hand, I did find an excellent, hard cover used copy for $5 which is a great bargain!
