Oldie but still a Goodie
Pflueger Medalist reels have always been a great reel and will continue to do so. They work year in and year out and will always be part of my fly fishing gear. You can't beat their beat value and durability. This 1494 reel and spool came in the original box with the original specification sheet and parts lists which is very cool for the collector. Also, the seller sent along fly line backing with fly line on the spool plus a tapered leader with tippet material. What a great deal and excellent value. The box and spec. sheet I set aside as keepers and the rest I put to use on a lake at 9160 feet elevation in Idaho and caught lots of fine trout. The expensive reels are no substitute for perfection and the Medalist is perfect.
