The Acu-Rite Wireless Weather Forecaster uses a patented 14-day learning mode technology. This weather station achieves the highest degree of forecasting accuracy possible from a home-based weather station. The all-in-one indoor unit features a large easy-to-ready LCD display with oversized digits and weather forecast icons. The easy-mount wireless sensor uses a powerful radio signal that is capable penetrating walls and delivering up to 160-foot range with a signal indicator. Display shows indoor and outdoor temperature, date and time, future weather forecast, barometric pressure trends, and even phases of the moon. The AcuRite weather forecaster was a very good compromise as a home weather station. It lacks a few of the bells & whistles of a full blown station but is a very good purchase for the money--guess I can do without a wind speed indicator. 621W1 and W2 weather farecasters are a bad choice.
Accuracy of the temps sensed and displayed is terrible. Displayed temps freeze even though the temperature is actually rising quite quickly. Also the displayed temp is generally either several degrees higher than the outside temp. I trashed it and bought a different model from acu-rite. Too Small of Numbers
