This is a very handy item to have around. You will be surprised
I lost my other one and missed it so greatly that I bought another. This pinpointer has the ability to find small objects that your metal detector hit on. It has a bright light and a scraper to locate items that is in the soil. It also doubles as a stud or electrical wire finder in walls ceilings and floors. This is a model II and has additional features my old one did not have. It has a lost alarm that will chirp for up to an hour if the unit is left on without activity for 5 minutes. It can only get better..
It’s very well made. Lightweight, extremely sensitive.. tough. All around great product. Funny story. I went outside in the back yard to test it out. After hitting target with metal detector, I dug a hole pulled out the pointer and it kept beeping target still in hole well long story short after a huge whole because it kept beeping still deeper in hole , Lesson learned never wear “still toe shoes” treasure hunting.. Sometimes I won’t even pull out all my gear . Holster this bad boy to my hip and Ill crawl around the yard like a spider monkey . For the size it detects buried metals very fast and easy . Amateur metal detector user.
I have just gotten into using a metal detector and was using an off brand cheap pinpointer. I bought this Garrett pinpointer and have started using it for one weekend now. I have had a dramatic increase in locating item and finding them faster. It is well balanced and has a good tone so even a person like me with hearing loss can either hear it or feel the vibration. One major problem I have is when using the pinpointer in an area where you leave it on for a period of time and try and put it in the holder the snap (made of metal) causes the pinpointer to go off. This could be fix either by removing the snap or replacing it with a plastic on. I'll have to do this to mine soon as I don't like turning it on and off every time I put it in the holder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
