Great little machine!
This little Kenmore sewing machine was one of the last 3/4 size sewing machines Kenmore produced. It's a cast aluminum body and metal parts, clad in a plastic clam-shell type cover, and not much larger than the average serger. These little machines didn't come with a carrying case but one can easily be found online. With regular cleaning and oiling these little gems will last for generations. Perfect size and weight for an non-seamstress that just needs a reliable machine.
A great seller. It arrived almost a week early. Well packed and not damaged in shipping. The machine is great. It needed a little care, clean up, oil basic maintenance. Once cared for it purrs. I am giving this to my adult daughter that just need a reliable simple machine for hemming pants and at most a buttonhole or two. It is all metal and todays Janome equivalent is Hello Kitty or a childish color. I ❤ Kenmore
It's really so sad that Kenmore sewing machines are no longer in production. They are great little workhorses and this is no different despite its petite size! It doesn't sew at full speed like full size machines -a plus for beginners- but sews just as well with the same 1 amp motor. I sew a LOT and travel with my machine for work so I need back up machines. It only has 3 sizes of straight and zigzag stitches which is just fine.
