What I actually bought and am rating is Elements 11 for Windows 7. I needed a replacement for my dearly beloved Picture It :( As expected it takes some time to learn Elements. I found it to too involved for the basic things I want to do. It's probably great for doing fancy creations. All I wanted was basic collage-making tools using a blank canvas for placing photos wherever I want, resizing and trimming them. Elements uses "layers" which I don't like--it just seems to add more steps to the process. I finally imported a blank white canvas but am still stuck having to work with layers. That's a pain! I will forever be disappointed with Microsoft for ending Picture It...Recommending this product to a friend depends on what they want to use it for.
This was a gift for someone with an older Mac. It would not run the current version of Photoshop. This version works great and she loves it!
