The controller works great, however it does not have a menu button. So on the new Sega retro you cannot get back to the main menu with the 80 preloaded games. You have to turn the Sega off and back on or use the original controller for that 1 button. Playing the games works flawlessly. The quality is good. I would buy a second one if it had the menu button.

You pay for what you get. These controllers work just fine with the recent Sega classic game consoles that came out with built in games. Controllers respond great and don't stick, yet. However, after just 2 weeks, the cord is coming loose leaving wires exposed. I'm sure electrical tape will do the trick, it still works. I'm staying optimistic even though the wires show now, they keep working. I bought 2. Again though, for the price, even if they flake out, not a bad purchase. Just needs to be reinforced better.

I owned the original Sega Genesis and the Family Dollar version. Felt like the 90's again, way better than the IR controllers you get with it. Long cords.
