I'm reluctant to give 3 starts but lets go over the reasons why. ~ Win 7 - this will soon enough be an unsupported operating system. I upgraded to Win10 but the free upgrade period has passed. ~ USB 2.0 - well once you've tried USB 3.0 you'll be disappointed with anything slower, especially if you are going to load this up with photos or videos, they will take much longer to transfer over. ~ necessary upgrades - to get the most out of a T420 you'll want an SSD ($100-$150) and 8mb of ram (some only come with 4gb). If storage just isn't an issue, then maybe a new 32gb SSD notebook, or a Win10 tablet with keyboard is worth considering. ......If you really want a T420 then fine. Otherwise consider a laptop with Win10, and USB 3.0. Signed..a T420 owner

Laptop is refurbished but in great condition, works great! Fast, large screen, so not too light weight. Battery life seems good. Better than I expected, great value for the price!

I threw a Samsung SSD in here and this computer flies. Great product. I'm a first-timer with Lenovo but it as good as any of the others. I definitely like the fingerprint scanner for logging in. Very nice touch.

Above and beyond anything else............this was the same as getting a " brand" new laptop. Installed my own set of software titles and ready to go. Very clean!
