Great addition replacing lesser quality badge
I have been doing upgrades and mods to my 2016 Subaru Forester Limited . this badge is replacing a lesser quality badge presently on my vehicle. To personalize an already well equiped model, I have used both aftermarket parts and trim. I have also used parts from varied earlier and current trim pieces I brought over from at least three or four different Subaru models and trims. Added HKS cold air intake as well for a little more grunt. I added a grill overlay,pinstripes, a bit more chrome, wood dash kit, shifter boot, upgraded all lights to LED, and more. This is is the best quality STI badge That I have found for the look I wanted. A little bit pricey, but you get you you pay for so a good value overall ! Genuine is best!
I suspected it might not fit my Subaru Forester SJG sports grille but ordered it anyway since it looks way better than a cheap knockoff. True enough it didn't fit but I had planned on how to modify it. And it wasn't difficult at all. I cut off the original short plastic mounting arms. Glued on two 30mm big-headed nut bolts with super strong Araldite epoxy adhesive suitable for metal & hard plastic. I also drilled an additional hole on the black mounting plate to fit the bolt. And the end result is an STi nameplate that fits like a gem.
