Works great if you don't give up! Improvise and get creative with other used parts.
Install was challenging, as expected and the antenna mast worked great in the end. I only used the center of the telescoping solid mast connected to the flexible rack gear after straightening the other original mast sections because only one size mast was available anywhere I could find. I would venture to say that the center solid section of the mast kit provided would be a universal fit in all the early FORD retractable antenna units if you can properly align or relace all the rest of the telescoping sections.

Takes the pain out or replacing a brokent antenna mast.
Replacing a broken power antenna mast can be a daunting proposition if you consider replacing the entire assembly. This kit makes it easy and inexpensive to replace the broken mast, only. The entire repair takes no more than ten minutes with common hand tools. A great value on a high quality part.
