They drive well
I am giving only 4 stars only because it is so early in the mileage (~25 mi.) on the tires. My tires are also not the ones pictured because they sent the wrong Nokian Solstices. The ones pictured are the directional ones and the ones that I got are the asymmetric ones. Why Nokian makes two different treads with the same model name I have not a clue. My tire installer said that I should be satisfied with the ones I received. One thing that surprised me was the country of manufacture. I looked up Nokian on Wikipedia and found that they have tire plants in Finland, USA, and one other country. Well, my tires were NOT made in USA or Finland. Not from China either, as a lot of tires are now. So, I am hoping for the best. They drive great. Got rid of all the vibration and shaking I had with my old front tires. I would have liked to have installed the ones pictured just to try them out because the tread looked like they would go through water and slush with less chance of hydroplaning than these asymmetric ones I received. (These tires have a raised ridge on each side of the tire that go circumferentially around the tire and through all the edge tread blocks and sticks up from the base of the tread maybe 5/32" or so, similar to the way my old tires were. The directional tires pictured, the ones that I wanted, do not have these outer ridges at all.) Now I get to find out how well the ones that I received last.
