Not new, just UNUSED
Battery appears to be an UNUSED one made in 2005. Probably not sold then due to a cosmetic defect, as I had to trim some of the foil off the wrapping so it would fit in my phone. Holds a charge for 4-5 days under light use, which is a somewhat better than the 4 dollar battery it replaced.
