Awesome. Reliable as an old dog.
After being a die hard Epson user, (owned 4 of them) this printer has been a real breath of fresh air....so far no clogs and is reliable from the beginning. Prints are top quality. You should be versed in professional style printing practices to get the results that you would expect from this type of image printer. Only draw back is that it does use more ink than you would expect. But this is known to be a Cannon idiosyncrasy anyway. Just be ware. Wish it had the roll feature that the Epson had. Professional printer requires professional attention
This is a professional printer that takes a fair bit of knowledge to manage and use. Because it's a pigment based printer it needs to be used regularly - like once a week or so - to avoid print head clogs. Once set up and running (not really that hard, but there is a lot to do) the prints are first rate professional products. Very happy with the results and can't believe this quality comes at such a reasonable price. If you are an occasional printer and don't need the archival properties of pigment ink, then you really should be looking at the Pixma Pro 100 (200, 300) series. If you love the craft of printing, print regularly and often, and don't think an image is complete until it's expressed on paper, then the imageGraf Pro-1000 is a great choice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Glossy means GLOSSY
