One of the better mounts i have purchased through EBay. Simple to use andeasy to instal. The mount just slides on hour dashboard and the phone is placed on a clip that has rubber to grip the phone to prevent it from slipping or sliding. The one thing i did have trouble with how my old tiny car and my short stature hinders me from using this mount directly center of the dashboard. So while driving all i see a my phone directly in my field of view. To remedy this i slid the mount to either side, so the mount sits at an angle. Some how it works for me and the placement on where it is located is out of my line of site. I currently drive a 99 Honda Civic, but for my 2007 Honda Odyssey this mount works perfectly in the center of the dashboard, due to my seat being electronic and raising well above the dashboard. But over all i am excited that i did make the choice in purchasing this product.Read full review

While I like the design, the materials used are either poor quality, or a poor choice. It does great when you want to use your phone video to record your driving...or see who is calling and not take ones eyes off the road...it quickly deforms in hot climates. The second day the item was in my car, when I made a turn, my phone and the stand took a dive off the dashboard and lodging under the gas pedal. Ifni had to do it again, I'd bring it in every night or stay in a cold climate

I own two Ford vehicles: 2004 Taurus and 2012 Escape. Due to a widening dash, where I guess other dashboards either remain the same or decrease in width, this mount isn't perfect. For the Taurus, it will not fit at all, as you can see in the final two photos. For the Escape, it fits- with serious snug. I think it's fine though, because it held my phone and neither moved nor rattled. I like that. Sad thing is, now I have two when I only needed one, AND my second vehicle has none at all. It's a 4-star due to not being quite 'Universal'.

This pertains mostly to those in hot weather areas like Southern California. The clip adheres very well to the dash when first installed. Leaving it installed with the hot sun beating down through the windshield renders the clip to change its shape. After about a week, the mount will slide off the dash and land in the drivers seat or passenger seat when making a turn. The solution is to remove your GPS and push the mount into the windshield and dash when it is parked in your driveway. This will bring back the mount close to its original shape. Also when not in use, remove the mount and place it somewhere in the front. After I did all this, my satisfaction with the mount went back up and works as it should. If you make a small change in your pre-driving habits, the mount will perform as advertised. In my 2013 Focus, I found it better to mount it over the radio display instead of behind the steering wheel. This allows the front seat passenger to input any changes to the GPS and allow you to concentrate on driving.Read full review

It would've been perfect, and I would've given it 5 stars - if it didn't have a somewhat tilt-back stance once it is deployed. Your Phone doesn't face you perfectly squarely, but rather it tilts slightly upward instead...I have used ALL SORTS of holders for the phone - air vent, cup holder, dashboard, and windshield types...This one is one of the best I have tried. Well-made, tough, and holds the phone very snug. And it even opens just wide enough to accept an iPhone plus with an Otter box case over it, so...For the price it can't be topped. Just wish it faced me 100% squarely, rather than at a very slightly upwards angle. I am still glad I got this holder none the less...
