Good Value 3D Printer, Needs Easier USB & WiFi Printing Interfaces
I'm generally happy with this printer. I have also been using industrial grade Series 1/Type A printers that are about five years old but well maintained, so this is what I am comparing against.
Pros: good print quality, solid build, glass build plate, fast printing speeds, automated bed-leveling, small desktop footprint.
Cons: Difficult to print over the USB cable AND WiFi. I have not been able to set up the WiFi printing yet, and there are satisfactory few resources on the web to figure this out. I have no idea how to print via the USB cable. Thus, all prints are by "sneakernet" now, copying G-code files from a computer onto a microSD card, removing this, plugging it into the printer, and then navigating to the files to print through the touch screen. The touch screen UI is decent but does not show long file names until you have selected one to print.
Of Note: After doing the automated bed-leveling, I tried to set up the WiFi, which ended up re-flashing the firmware. Then, the bed-leveling settings were not longer valid AND the printer refused to perform the bed-leveling again. I re-flashed the firmware yet again, and then it allowed me to perform the bed-leveling again.
