This was a direct replacement for the shutter assembly on my 2017 GMC Sierra. The check engine light had activated and in checking the code it was determined that the motor in the old shutter was bad. I ordered the shutter and received it in 3days. I had the defective shutter removed from the truck so I was able to install the replacement shutter as soon as it arrived. Installation was easy, just bolted it back in, put the grill and trim back and I was ready to go in under 1 hour. I drove it around for a bit, turning off the engine at intersections to reset the light. On the second start up the light went out and stayed out. I am very pleased with my purchase. I hope I don't have to replace it again for a while but I would purchase this item again.
