I've had the Tram 1180 for a couple of years. It does the job well and has not weathered perceptibly in the time I've had it on the car. The structural wire is pretty thin but I've not had any problems on that account. I've run into the garage door a few times and bent it over with no lasting effect though I do wish it were a bit more stout in the bottom section just to minimize the rocking action under some driving conditions. Since it is dual-band, it is more troublesome to tune since you have to go back and forth to find the minima for both bands but you can get a very low SWR on both 70cm and 2m if you persist. It has held up at 50W but I can't testify to anything beyond that power level. If I were buying for my other car I'd get another.
