IT WORKS GREAT BUT THE LEADS ARE TO SHORT THEY ARE APPROXIMATELY 6" LONG? JUST LONG ENOUGH TO GET THEM ACCROSS THE TERMINALS ON BATTERY. SO YOUR BATTERY HAS TO BE CLOSE TO THE RECEPTACLE. great little charger
this is a nice little charger, that works well paired with two 7amp/hr agm batteries in my ham go box. i embedded the charger in the go box because it had the spec's i needed, but was compact and didn't add much weight. it seems to be smart enough to manage the charge on the 14amp/hrs of batteries i have it connected with, as it starts out charging at 14.7 volts, then steps to 14.4 and finally ends at 13.7 float which is about perfect. for the price i bought the second to have on hand as a spare, and i may be buying more for other projects and for charging my riding mower battery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

better, cheaper than Battery Tender
need a trickle charger with a little more amps, then this 6 amp trickle charger is for you, I have several of this China made/imported charger, When I hook it up it knows if polarity is correct so no sparking or short out. It displays battery status and percentage of battery strength, it also shows how many amps are being put to the battery, the higher the charge the less amps to the battery, keeps your battery at 100% so it is charged and ready for use. I have them hooked up to my vehicles that often sit for 3 or more days, over time this causes battery life to be strained so I just unplug and go.
