cambridge sr20 overheating and noisy
after a very short time, listening at very modest volume, the unit begins to heat up and subsequently a far too audible fan begins operating to cool and protect the unit. Having owned many stereo systems in my lifetime ( I am 61 ) I am quite sure that this sort of performance is neither normal nor a good sign for the long term prospects of this receiver. I have only operated the unit sporadically for a grand total of no more than two hours of use. despite being connected to a very efficient pair of 8 ohm rated Infinity rs1 bookshelf speakers ( I first connected the unit to a new set of Elac 6.2 6 ohm speakers ) the problems persist. I have since visited some audio forums and learned that this problem with cambridge products is not entirely unusual.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
