It certainly doesn't give you 4 hrs like an original but 2hr 45 min is definitely better than a lifeless dead battery. It was also an exact fit, just snapped in place like the original. Battery replacement for Dell
I purchased this battery as the battery I had was good for about 1 min unplugged from power source. I have used it for sometime now and found it to be an acceptable replacement. I have not timed it to see how long it holds a charge but it has served me well. My computer is about 7-10 years old and is time to purchase a new . This battery will give me a bit more time and I may keep it for some work as it is working now. I have used this old machine so much there is an indent on the left button near the pad.
