Made of durable, lightweight urethane, Mr. Tuffy provides a protective layer between the outer tire and inner tube. Urethane has a property which makes it very elastic. The object pushes against the surface which gives way while resisting initial penetration.

Worth it
After putting brand new tires on I started getting flats every 50 miles or so. This is riding in an urban environment during winter, so lots of debris. Heard mixed reviews on these liners but though I would try them. The only downfall to them is the weight. You do notice the difference And to me they feel not as stable at higher speed turns.
