Great Grips
I can not say I had any problems or "cons". I put them on a Ruger New Model 357 mag convertible SA Revolver. I put it on a couple of times, kind of squeezed the grips together as I tightened it and it turned out very good. Touching at all points. the only gap is at the molded split, but that is acceptable. Mine didn’t fit my gun
Ordered a set for my New Model Blackhawk, 357 mag. received in good time. They looked great, but when I went to install them on my gun they would not fit. The package stated they were for my gun, they wouldn’t quite fit the grip frame. My biggest complaint is, it cost me over $5 to return ship them. In other words it cost me that to find out they would not work on my gun !!!

Great handgun grips
I bought these after seeing some mixed reviews about them. I am happy to say that this grip worked extremely well on my Ruger New Model Blackhawk. Fit tight, no gaps or seams and no modification made at all. Slipped on like a glove. The only minor thing is that the screw is too long. If you tighten all the way then the screw protrudes from the left side of the grip. However, just back it off until it is flush and it still is tight enough and the grip does not move. Looks great and gives a good grip for wet hands and helps absorb the recoil. I recommend this grip for anyone having the same model of revolver.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very Confusing.
The search for these grips lead to a plethora of misinformation and confusion. The Grips on my New Model Super Blackhawk were designated XRP on the inside. When cross referenced with a Ruger guide indicated they were on an XR3 RED (redesigned) Grip Frame. Accordingly the XR3 RED Frame has a width of 1/2" across the backstrap . However the XR3 Frame (NOT RED) has a width of 7/16". Now here is the total confusion... some of the packages will say FOR XR3 RED Frame, some will say NOT for XR3 RED Frame. The SKU # is exactly the same on BOTH though-34337-03137. I unknowingly I bought the one that the AD said was FOR XR3 Red Frame even though the back of the package said they were NOT. All I had to do was file the small rounded corners located on the Butt of the Revolver to a square and they fit perfectly except for a VERY small gap near the top of the Rubber Grip. Outdoor Black Caulking did the trick. After Market Grips always need a little fabrication, especially the molded rubber ones. I am very happy with them, far better than the Hogue MONSTER Sized grips. My advice... for all Super Blackhawks that are DEFINITELY NOT XR3's go with the 3163 SKU#. GOOD LUCK... Highly Recommended though

What I expected
Just remember, it's mass produced and not hand fitted to your application, so expect the fit might not be perfect. But, hey, they are made in the USA. I bought this because I changed out the aluminum grip panel frame to the stainless steel one. The new grip frame had to be fitted to the gun. This is normal, and it's a lot of work for an amateur like me. There would have been more work to get the frame and the (normally seen) grips fitted together so I cheated and used this Pachmayer grip. Hough also makes a grip similar to this one. Also, there are plenty one piece wood ones. Another important consideration is all these grips now give your "pinky" finger something to wrap around.
