Cheap and effective baffle for raccoons, most squirrels
Got this for a metal shepherds crook with a diameter of less than one inch. Very easy to install and stays put. Good metal construction. Works great to keep critters from climbing UP the pole. Highly recommended!

Limited to squirrels going up instead of down
This squirrel baffle is 18 inches from center to edge. It is NOT anchored at the center so it can be tipped easily. It will not stop a racoon from climbing up a pole under it and it will not stop a squirrel climbing down to it. IF the only problem is squirrels climbing UP a pole, it should work with no problem. If will not stop a squirrel when the feeder is suspended from an overhead limb. The squirrel simply holds onto the rope or what ever suspends the feeder with its back feet and easily reaches the food since the baffle tips over. It comes with a little metal bracket which sort of centers the baffle. If you need a baffle to use on a pole to keep squirrels out and don't have any raccoons, then it should work for you.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Dang, if it doesn't work!
Very well made and it is so funny watching the squirrels try to get around it but none has yet and its been a week. They got thru everything else I tried but this works. It also looks nice and is very high quality. I had to use some different screws and then secure it with wire because my shepard's hook was a bit too small I guess. But gotter done. And it is a joy to wake up and not find my bird feeders empty and destroyed. I wouldn't have minded those squirrels as much if they hadn't destroyed every feeder I put up. Sturdy and easy to install
It was fast and easy to install, sturdy and looks durable. I'm already noticing my birdseed is lasting longer in the feeder hanging on a shepherd's crook pole, probably because it's keeping the mice out. It works.
This item worked. We assembled it on a 5 foot staff with feeder, There are as many as a dozen squirrels that have climbed this pole many times to get at a squirrel proof feeder. If they balance their weight just right they can get seeds out of it. We do provide a second feeder for them but they aren't content. The feeders are up for the many birds in our neighborhood and the squirrels keep them from the feeders. Squirrels are so upset and left a bad review on this product, but birds love it!
Essy installation and sturdy metal. I would recommend it. Its fun to watch the squirrel to study this baffle and try to work on getting to the bird feeders, but failed. Make sure to install it 4-5ft higher than the ground, and far away from objects where the squirrels can leap from (pots, trees, chair, deck). I would recommend this to anyone!!

squirrel baffel
it is good high quality. works so far. but the price is crazy high. but even the cheap plastic ones cost this much. as long as works I guess it's worth it. had to add to this review- had it up for about 1 1/2 weeks- squirrels figured a way to get passed it n they are now enjoying the bird feeders and the poor birds have nothing again. don't waste your money. Works great with a little help
