not seller's fault, it's the defroster controller manufacturer that makes a part that doesn't last
defroster fail, usually find refrigerator not so cool while freezer still ok with 1/4" nutwrench, pull panels in back of freezer and defrost with heatgun if clogged with ice this will restore function until it ices up again, depending on how humid it is resistance measurement of the defroster heater element should show continuity- this has not failed for me - the control fails anywhere from a year to over a half dozen years, replaced 3 times in 15 years this defroster controller module is located in the upper right corner, inside the refrigerator (not freezer) there is a good youtube on removing the plastic panels and getting to it 2 screws hold it in place, one connector installed the same way the old one was watch the video, this is not hard and does not take long, and this part is not expensive unfortunately the reliability is quite poor, to the point where some places sell them in pairs so next time, and there will be a next time, you can get the refrigerator back to normal quickly the reviews on the Maytag MZD2766GE indicate others also found it unreliableVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
