The cones do a real good job of holding the roos still which makes it a great item for me. It's one of the things I hated about killing the roosters for food

The large cone the birds would slide their legs down to their breast and their necks were not long enough to get to the bottom, I would have to reach up inside , pull down the neck to make the cut. Maybe tiring the feet and hooking them to a screw would work better but with the Cornish cross they just aren’t long enough. I also purchased the medium cone and it was more like a small, to small for my Cornish cross, they jumped themselves out of it. I did like the edges being finished so we did not cut ourselves on them
