Garrison's novel was the main work used to write the script for the film JFK. Is is a fascinating first person account by New Orleans prosecutor Jim Garrison of his investigation into Kennedy's murder, and the resulting prosecution of Clay Shaw. Personally, I find Garrison to be honest and reliable, and found this a courageous effort that will sit well historically despite slander campaigns. If you have interest in this important topic, this is a fine work to read.

Jim Garrison's book paints a somewhat far-fetched picture as he portrays the murder of John Kennedy to be the work of a government-orchestrated conspiracy. Many of his claims cannot be supported by any reputible historical source. However, it does raise some doubts as to the absolute validity of the Warren commission report. Another piece of an insolvable puzzle.
This book clearly belongs in the top ten of all JFK assassination books. It covers what was found in the HSCA so it's pretty relevant even though a lot of new information has come out since the JFKact to release documents. It's a great book for any researcher of the era.
