Extending the life for an older PC
The PC in question only had 4 Gb and that was ok when running a 32 bit OS. Now it runs a 64 bit OS (thus a bit more memory consuming) so upgrading it to 8 Gb really made a difference. Now the performance is good enough for my retired mother and it will probably last her lifetime. My motherboard don't run it on 1066 MHz but on the other hand I didn't try to tweak the settings either. Good Value for 4GB Ram w/ Heatsink
It fits the DDR2 Slot and the built in heat sink keeps the heat down for the Ram. It will only go as fast as the Buss will allow which is normal, but it doesn't slow (or clock down) if it can stay fast. Is labeled as PC2-8500 but BIOS only recognizes it as PC2-6400 (800 not 1066). But computer is noticeably improved-which is all that really matters.
