Too bad one has to search for an older product to get the best but that is the case with HP printers. This machine represents a high point in quality for HP where they were concerned about quality just as much as profitability. It works great, and is easy to set up. No problems and very reliable machine. Wireless printing is very convenient, it is slower than wired but still a worthwhile trade off.

I have been extremely pleased with this printer.n knowing it is a lazer jet and uses dry toner powders not liquid inks my experience is that these printers save you hundreds of dollars and time buying liquid inks. I mainly purchased this because I needed a printer to wirelessly print from my iPhone and my iPad as well as my PC. This does both flawlessly. None trick I learned early on is if you loose your connection from an apple device it is not the printer but the device. Simply power off then back on your apple device and it will immediately find the wireless printer. This has only happened once on each apple device and the printer prints quickly and beautifully! It really is our home network printer for all to use! It's touch pad allows you to adjust settings without a computer. If you are considering this printer for volume, quality, cost reliability I give it 5 stars!!!Read full review
I work most printers to death but not these older HP's. I print a lot of paper every day and I mean EVERY DAY. All I have ever done is replace the toner. I have two with one being a backup but have only used the backup one time when the primary had to go through the calibrate cycle. Very, very dependable and very inexpensive if you buy a refurbished unit.

Purchased this as factory refurbished. Doubt that it was ever touched by human hands outside of the factory. Easiest printer to install that I have ever used. Quite easily installed on my wife's Windows 7 desk top by using accompanying disc. On my computers which all utilize various Linux operating systems, I didn't have to do anything. Linux easily recognized the printer, installed necessary drivers and printed test page. All I had to do was click the appropriate boxes. All computers were connected wireless; nice that I didn't have to run another cable. It doesn't print as fast as my Lexmark C544, but is quite adequate for home use. All in all, a great printer at a great price.
I opened the printer up and found a huge cockroach inside it that had shorted out the main power supply assy. I replaced the assy and the printer fired right up. The printer had also been dropped, not sure it was the previous owner or if it happened in shipping, but I had to straighten the bent chassis. Printer works good now
