This book isn't just full of recipes. It's full of useful tips, food history and wine pairing. Jeff Smith wants to reinvent how you think about food. Even though this book came out in 1983 it was ahead of it's time and still is. Jeff was already talking about the dangers of hydrogenated oils and the benefits of making things ahead of time.
