A very dependable basic meat grinder. Have used to grind beef heart, whole fish and shrimp shells on for aquarium fish food. horible fit and finish.
Used it twice and it is horrible. The knife had to be re sharpened right out of the box and it sit very wobbly on the auger. There is a pin on the front of the housing that prevents the plate from rotating that looks like somebody just stuck a piece of wire in a hole. It also sticks out too far so you cant tighten up the plate properly. All that prevents the knife from rotating firmly against the plate so it mashes the meat instead of cutting it. The quality of the castings gets 0 stars. Honestly I would be embarrassed to go to market with something that poorly made for any price. So stay away unless you want to spend 3 hrs to grind 10 lbs of meat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looking for something different
Every bad review about this product is true. I should have bought the stainless steel one. It cost a little more, but you get what you pay for. This will make a nice garage sale item for next spring. Now that fall is here, there are even a few nice ones showing up at my local hunting stores and farm supply stores. I should have waited. This is nothing like the meat grinder of yesterday. Shoddy, and the parts really do start to rust immediately. I even bought the Weston food safe silicone spray. Wasted that money, too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Meat grinder
The grinder came quickly, but it was partially assembled. I'm guessing the ring was machine treaded, and screw on incorrectly. After spraying it with lubricant ( WD40), I was still unable to unscrew it. Hubby suggested using a vice to hold it while trunk to answer it only succeeded in cracking the ring.
