1/20/19 just installed
I just installed the new drain plug. The plug has a shorter thread length then the factory plug and the shoulder of the plug is noticeable narrower. I’m not sure why they would shrink these dimensions. The hex is much longer by a 1/8 and fits the socket nice and snug. I would expect the hex will hold up much better then the factory plug, which for me had rounded out a lot after 214 K miles of oil changes. Do not buy this product.....Stick with your stock one
If you spin the bolt on an even surface, the threads are warped, they go up and down and not at an even bolt thread pattern, also, there is not enough threads to make up for the magnet on the install. thus, I do not recommend this bolt for (ANY) installation for safety porpouses.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
